Aelisa Studio began with a simple frustration: working in the freelance marketing and backoffice sector meant big packages that were impossible to customise and were largely intransparent for both the client and the people doing the work.
Amira repeatedly faced the same struggle:
No communication upfront about what the client expected and about what Amira was ready to deliver, and, during the process, endlessly going around in circles until both had lost their spark for the project at hand. Amira asked herself:
How can I make this as clear, transparent, satisfying, and effective as possible for all of us, so that it never comes to that point?
How can I create an environment in which I can do my best work, focus on each client with their unique brands and personalities, and not make it stressful for either of us?
When wanting to grow her mother’s business, Amira decided to take things into her own hands. She wanted to work in a way that was honest, clear, and gave both her mother’s business and herself, as the one implementing her ideas, satisfaction.
That’s how Aelisa Studio came to be: Amira’s own workspace, with her own rules, and realising her client’s dreams without all the exhausting struggles that usually come with it.
Creative mind and storyteller first, Amira cares less about trends and more about the story only your business can tell. For Amira, every project starts the same way: by listening to how you work, think, and speak. And then by giving you a totally honest answer.
Aelisa Studio is not a one-person show. Wouter is the other half of it: a software engineer with four years of experience behind him, two of those spent working independently for clients whose systems had to stay up when the load arrived.
He builds in TypeScript, and he is not after the clever solution. He is after the boring, proven one, because the systems he is trusted with do not get a second chance to fail gracefully. He tests the failure paths as carefully as the happy path.
That is the same standard the studio works by, only in a different language. Amira’s half is about making things clear and honest, with no black boxes and no jargon standing in for a decision. His is about making sure that what we put out there actually holds up when it meets a real person on the other side. Neither is optional.
He keeps his own contract work running alongside the studio, so this is what he does every day rather than something that comes up on a free afternoon. What you get in return is the same thing Amira offers: a straight answer about what is realistic, and a reason for it.
